FELB Austria strengthens its team
Jan Rainer Strassburg becomes new COO and Michael Fraberger supports as Head of Sales with immediate effect.
Vienna, August 9, 2021 – FELB Austria continues to restructure its team under Uwe Leuschner. As of August 1, Jan Rainer Strassburg (54) fills the position of Chief Operating Officer and Michael Fraberger (53) takes on the role as Head of Sales. This strengthens the Eurasian railway operator with two experienced logistics experts.

JAN RAINER STRASSBURG
Jan Rainer Strassburg joined the management team of FELB Austria GmbH as the new COO on August 1, 2021. As a proven specialist for product management and business development on the Eurasian Corridor, he will take over the management of the operational business and actively shape the expansion of international and sustainable business development. As former Senior Product Manager and Head of Product at DB SCHENKEReurasiaand with over 25 years of professional experience in the logistics industry, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise.
Strassburg had been working for DB Schenker since 2012. Previously, as Managing Director of the TRANSSYSTEM EUROPE Group, he was responsible for the development of new rail services in Central Asia and was engaged as Managing Director for the revitalization of Kiel’s Ostuferhafen.
The German-Russian studied Hebraic at the Humboldt University in Berlin, International Business Administration at the AKAD Leipzig and Finance and Banking at the Institute for Learning Systems in Hamburg. Strassburg speaks besides his native languages German and Russian, fluent English and has a good knowledge of Modern Hebrew.
Michael Fraberger (54) becomes Head of Sales at FELB Austria GmbH. In this function, he will be responsible for the further development of the global sales strategy, but in particular for the product expansion of multimodal services in the area of Eurasian rail container transport.
Fraberger looks back on a long career in international transportation. Previously, he worked in the freight forwarding sector as well as in the shipping industry.
As a native Viennese, he passed the Freight Forwarders’ Certificate of Competency in the course of his business education at the Commercial Academy with a focus on freight forwarding and is a certified apprentice trainer. In addition to his German mother tongue, Fraberger speaks fluent English and has also a basic knowledge of Russian.
