The 1000th Expedited Container Train with European goods destined for consumers in China left on November 15 on the Brest - Zabaikalsk route. The train was formed of the rolling stock of PJSC TransContainer, its operator in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation is JSC "Russian Railways Logistics", in Europe and China - Far East Land Bridge (FELB).
Accelerated container trains have been operating on the Brest - Zabaikalsk route since October 2011. Currently, the frequency of this service averages 3-4 trains per week. Delivery time from the Polish-Belarusian to the Russian-Chinese border is 7-8 days.
The 1000th train carried 71 forty-foot containers, 39 of them auto-components destined for Shenyang KZhD station. The rest of the containers had ferrous metal products, equipment and spare parts.
