Next successful Sinotrans - FELB project: First Train to Austria

The first Sinotrans – FELB train from Shenyang, China to Enns, Austria arrived on 01-04-2020.



About Sinotrans and FELB

A long-term and stable cooperation link FELB and Sinotrans. Many successful projects, including pioneer projects on the New Silk Way have already been launched in the past. FELB connects Shenyang with major commercial hubs in Europe like Regensburg, Duisburg, Hamburg, Milan and Warsaw.

Now, a new milestone of the successful cooperation was accomplished with the first pilot blocktrain to Austria, Enns.


About the train


The train departed from Shenyang, China on 14-03-2020 and entered Russian wide gauge network via Manzhouli / Zabaikalsk. Continuing its journey, the more than 10 000 km on the trans-Siberian railway were bridged in only 7 days and the border crossing Brest / Malaszewicze was reached, from where the train proceeded to its destination terminal in Enns, Austria.


The train was formed of 41 x 40 HC container carrying raw materials for a global leading Austrian company.


About Container Terminal Enns (CTE)


CTE is located in one of the strongest industrial regions in Austria and is positioned as a trimodal trans-shipment point, a spart of the ENNSHAFEN. Its infrastructure, roads, quays and rail facilities give companies access to all modes of transports. CTE with 275,000 square meters of space and a capacity of more than 500,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units), it is one of the most modern Container handling infrastructures in Austria.
